There are Safari and Firefox plugins that allow you to clip web pages to Evernote on you desktop.

There are various reports that the plugin, or Safari Extension, is only available for version 5.1 or later and there may still be some problems installing/running it in Safari. When you click on the Safari link in the above line it will take you to the Extension Page, click on the Productivity link in the left column and then scroll down until you see the Evernote link and click on the Install Now button on the right side of the screen.
